Co-founder & CTO
Lead tech strategy and scale our SaaS platform globally, shaping a global industry alongside CEO Mona Berntsen. Apply now to be a part of this exciting journey!
Note: This ad is not for a job at Reodor. It's an opportunity to become a co-founder for our portfolio startup Tiny Studios.
We are seeking a Co-founder and Chief Technology Officer (CTO) to spearhead the technology and product strategy for Tiny Studios, an innovative SaaS startup transforming the dance studio and instruction industry. With a live product, paying customers, and strong market traction, you’ll play a pivotal role in scaling our platform and driving its growth in a global industry. This hands-on role evolves into strategic leadership as the team expands, working closely with our CEO, Mona Berntsen—a globally renowned dancer and entrepreneur with deep industry expertise and a passion for empowering dance professionals worldwide.
About Tiny Studios
Welcome to Tiny Studios, where technology meets creativity to revolutionize the dance studio and instruction industry. Founded by globally recognized dancer Mona Berntsen—whose career includes collaborations with Justin Bieber, Madonna, Coldplay, and Chris Brown—Tiny Studios is inspired by her deep understanding of the unique challenges dance studios face daily.
The platform is designed to handle all aspects of studio management, including scheduling, booking, payments, communication, and business analytics, empowering studio owners and instructors to focus on their art rather than administrative tasks. Backed by venture studio Reodor, Tiny is on a fast track to disrupt a global market, with plans to launch in the US in 2025.
Already in operation with paying customers and significant market interest, Tiny Studios offers a compelling opportunity for a visionary CTO to join the journey and make an immediate impact.
About the role
The CTO will be responsible for leading Tiny Studios' technology and product strategy, building its core platform from the ground up, and overseeing its development and scalability. You’ll bring both hands-on technical expertise and strategic vision, guiding the product as it grows and evolves to meet the needs of a global market.
This role requires an initial hands-on approach to developing the platform, ensuring its robustness, and incorporating innovative features like AI-powered scheduling, CRM systems, and interactive tools for instructors. As Tiny Studios scales, you will transition into a leadership role, building and mentoring a world-class tech team.
You’ll work directly with CEO Mona Berntsen, whose deep understanding of the industry brings authenticity and focus to the company’s mission. Together, you’ll ensure that Tiny Studios continues to empower dance professionals worldwide while capitalizing on its vast market potential.
Note: We are also looking for a business-savvy Co-founder to join as CCO/COO, so if you have someone you think would compliment you and the CEO then feel free to bring them onboard the process.
Responsibilities
- Tech leadership: Develop and implement Tiny Studios' product and technology roadmap, ensuring alignment with business goals and the founder's vision.
- Platform development: Oversee the development process (design, prototype, development, and quality assurance) of new software products and features from scratch.
- Customer engagement: Engage with customers to gather insights, understand their needs, and incorporate their feedback into product development and strategy to ensure the platform meets the unique needs of studio owners and instructors.
- Global scalability: Build scalable solutions to support Tiny Studios' rapid growth and planned US launch.
- Team building: Recruit, mentor, and lead a high-performing tech team as the company grows, fostering a culture of innovation, accountability, and adherence to regulatory standards.
- Hands-on contribution: In the early stages, contribute directly to platform development and prototyping, transitioning to a strategic role as the team expands.
Requirements
- Proven experience in building and scaling SaaS platforms
- Hands-on coding experience
- Strong strategic thinking and leadership capabilities
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Ability to thrive in a startup environment, transitioning from hands-on development to a strategic leadership role
What we offer
- Equity and leadership: Join as a co-founder with a competitive salary and equity package, taking a lead role in shaping a fast-growing company.
- Impactful work: Help revolutionize an industry, empowering dance professionals to focus on their art while we handle their operational challenges.
- Supportive environment: Leverage the expertise of Reodor Studios and our network of investors, corporates, and partners to scale Tiny Studios globally.
- Flexible work arrangements: Balance professional and personal life with a flexible work environment.
- Growth opportunity: The opportunity to be a part of a foundational team in a startup already gaining international attention, with plans to disrupt a multi-billion-dollar global market.
