Strategic Advisor - Technology
Drive technology consulting growth at Reodor. You'll win clients and lead strategic tech engagements from architecture to production, being hands-on when it matters while helping shape how we work.
This position requires that you reside in Oslo or the surrounding area. Proficiency in Norwegian is considered a strong advantage and will be weighted highly in the selection process.

We're now looking for a Strategic Advisor – Technology who will play a key role in driving our technology consulting growth. This is a client-facing, commercially-driven role where you'll combine deep technical expertise with business acumen – helping organizations make smart technology decisions, build scalable solutions, and create competitive advantage through technology strategy.

As a Strategic Advisor – Technology, you'll spend most of your time working directly with clients – shaping technology strategies, winning new projects, and ensuring solutions actually ship and scale. You'll be joining a team of designers, strategists, technologists, and entrepreneurs. More than two-thirds of us have started companies before, and all of us are driven by building things that matter.
What you'll do
Lead technical strategy engagements – Take ownership of complex technology challenges, craft technical strategies that balance innovation with pragmatism, and lead cross-functional teams from architecture decisions to production deployment.
Drive commercial growth – Own your own sales budget, identify new opportunities, lead client conversations, and build long-term relationships. You'll bring in new work and grow existing accounts by demonstrating technical credibility and business value.
Deliver real results – Be hands-on in projects when needed, ensuring our technical solutions create measurable business impact—not just impressive architecture diagrams.
Shape Reodor's tech practice – Help evolve our technical methods, offerings, and positioning as we scale. Define what technology excellence means at Reodor, mentor the tech team, and strengthen our reputation as leaders in building scalable, market-ready solutions.
Bridge technology and business – Speak to both C-suite executives and engineering teams. You can articulate technical decisions in business terms, translate client challenges into technology opportunities, and ensure engineering thinking informs strategic decisions.
What we're looking for
5+ years' experience in software development, technical architecture, or technology leadership—with at least 2 years in consulting, CTO/tech leadership roles, or similar advisory positions
Technical depth with cross-disciplinary fluency – You have deep expertise in building production systems, but understand how technology decisions connect to design quality and business outcomes. You're comfortable working at the intersection of design, technology, and business strategy.
Commercial skills – You know how to spot opportunities, build client trust, scope technical projects, and close deals. You understand technology as a way to grow businesses, not just solve engineering problems
Strong communication and stakeholder management – You can present technical strategies persuasively to senior executives, facilitate architecture workshops with diverse stakeholders, and build alignment around technology decisions
Experience leading technical projects end-to-end – You've taken projects from ambiguous technical challenges to launched, scaled solutions, and you're comfortable with the complexity in between
Entrepreneurial mindset – Maybe you've been a technical co-founder, or maybe you've just always thought like one. Either way, you think about business models and market fit, not just code quality
Team player – You help other developers grow, work well with designers and strategists, and make the work better
