UX Designer
Design products that matter, from insight to market-ready solutions, working at the intersection of design, technology, and business.
This position requires that you reside in Oslo or the surrounding area. Proficiency in Norwegian is considered a strong advantage and will be weighted highly in the selection process.
About us
At Reodor Studios, we help ambitious companies turn growth goals into business reality. Over the last years we've scaled fast, with talented people, dozens of high-impact projects, and a growing portfolio of ventures. Our work spans strategy, design, and technology, but unlike most consultancies, we don't stop at advice. Where others stop at slides, we build, test, and launch.
We combine consulting and venture building to help companies find new revenue streams, expand into new markets, and develop or improve products and services. With a touch of humility, we dare say we're specialists in early-stage innovation, working from insights and concepts all the way to market-ready solutions. Things move fast here, and we make sure ideas turn into something concrete and valuable.
What sets us apart is how we blend consulting with the ability to actually build new companies. We have a team that matches our ambitions: economists, product designers, cybernetics experts, creative technologists, and more than two-thirds of us have founded and run our own companies.
Our design team currently consists of four talented individuals who work closely with our tech and business teams. We are in an exciting growth phase and are now expanding the team with a UX Designer who can drive service innovation projects from discovery to delivery.
The Role
As a UX Designer at Reodor, you'll take ownership of projects where understanding user needs and designing holistic service experiences is central. – Your strength lies in combining deep user insight with business and product thinking. You'll conduct research to uncover opportunities, design service concepts that span multiple touchpoints, and work with cross-functional teams to bring solutions to market. You're equally comfortable facilitating a workshop with C-level executives as you are designing future-state user journeys or creating prototypes to test concepts.
You'll tackle challenges that require understanding entire ecosystems, not just individual digital products – designing experiences that might include both digital and physical touchpoints, or developing new business models alongside the services that support them.
Your responsibilities:
Run projects end-to-end: Lead design initiatives from initial discovery through to implementation, taking responsibility for both strategic direction and practical execution.
Drive insight and opportunity identification: Conduct qualitative and quantitative research to understand user needs and market opportunities, translating findings into actionable design solutions and business opportunities.
Design holistic experiences: Create innovative service concepts, map user journeys across touchpoints, and design experiences that work across digital and physical interactions.
Facilitate and collaborate: Lead workshops with clients and internal teams, building alignment and driving decision-making throughout the design process.
Connect design to business outcomes: Ensure your design work delivers measurable value by understanding technology, business models, revenue opportunities, and market dynamics.
Prototype and test: Create prototypes at various fidelities to validate concepts and communicate ideas, iterating based on user feedback and business requirements.
We're looking for someone who:
Has around 5 years of relevant experience in UX design, service design, or related fields – preferably from agency, consultancy, or startup environments where you've worked across different types of projects and industries.
Brings entrepreneurial and commercial thinking: You understand how design creates business value and can identify market opportunities. Experience from startups, venture building, or running your own projects is a significant advantage.
You have:
A bachelor's or master's degree in design, service design, UX, interaction design, or related fields
Strong experience with user research methods and the ability to translate insights into design decisions
Versatility to work across different scales – from mapping service ecosystems to designing specific user experiences
Experience with service design methods such as journey mapping, service blueprints, and ecosystem visualization
The ability to create prototypes and communicate design concepts effectively
Confidence leading projects, facilitating workshops, and working directly with clients
Strong communication skills in Norwegian and English
Can work independently and across disciplines: You're self-sufficient and can drive projects forward on your own, while also collaborating effectively with business strategists, designers, and developers when needed.
Thrives with variety and complexity: You enjoy tackling diverse challenges – from exploring new business opportunities to improving existing services – and you're comfortable working at different levels of detail depending on what the project needs.
Is pragmatic and action-oriented: You focus on creating real outcomes, not just deliverables. You know when to go deep and when to move fast, always keeping the end goal in sight.
Whether you come from a service design, UX, or innovation background, what matters most is your ability to lead projects independently, think commercially, and deliver solutions that create genuine value for users and businesses.
What we can offer:
An ambitious and dynamic environment where you get the opportunity to contribute across the company's many areas. Exciting projects where we're involved all the way – from identifying a challenge to launching new concepts in the market. And yes, we work on the most fun part!
Flexible working hours and great freedom to shape your own workday
A social start-up environment characterized by collaboration, knowledge sharing, entrepreneurship, openness, and humor
Competitive terms and the opportunity to participate in our share program
6 weeks of vacation and the possibility of 4 weeks workation, where you can work from abroad
The opportunity to pitch your ideas as possible ventures we can invest in building
Social and professional events, such as an annual kick-off (we've been to Spain, Italy, France, and Morocco) and a ski trip to the company cabin in Ål
